Raising Money for Local Charities
14th December 2015
Our school choir did a wonderful job of raising money for local charities this week. On Monday they managed to raise £100 for the 'Daft as a Brush' Cancer Care charity at the Chapel House shops singing for local residents and shoppers. Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care offers staffed custom-made vehicles to transport outpatients, free of charge, to and from Hospital who are undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy cancer treatment.
On Tuesday they raised £217.23 through the generosity of Eldon Square shoppers for The Chronicle Sunshine Fund. Mr. Hawking was very proud of our school choir and wanted to thank all who contributed so kindly. The Chronicle Sunshine Fund provides specialised equipment to children with disabilities in the North East of England, individuals, groups, registered organisations, special and mainstream schools and hospitals can ask for our support to improve the lives of children with disabilities.
