Rainbow Reading Den Opens 2017

2nd March 2017
On Thursday, March 2nd 2017, we officially opened our new Rainbow Reading Den. The conversion of this facility to provide a beautiful, inviting and cosy space for pupils to read and explore literature is in honour and memory of our beloved pupil Alice Giles, who sadly left us. We were blessed with a wonderful opening ceremony with all of our pupils and staff in World Book Day attire whilst Mrs. Giles and Lucy performed the official ribbon cutting.  In addition to this, parents attended an invitation to see the Rainbow Reading Den in the afternoon.

Classes have taken turns visiting the Den and from their response it is clear they are very excited about being able to use it at break and lunch times. We are hugely thankful to Mrs. Giles and family and others who have helped to create this wonderful testament to a young girl who loved to read and learn. We look forward to its future use and celebrating the memory of Alice Giles.
