Letter from Headteacher

Our School will now join the OWL Trust and we look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership with outstanding and enriching opportunities for our pupils. Below is a record of the consultation process:

Dear Parents and Carers

Outer West Learning Trust (OWL Trust) proposal

You may recall in a recent communication that our school is considering becoming a  foundation school and a formal partner in the Outer West Learning Trust (OWL Trust) Trust.

Our consultation started on 21st March 2016 - following the meeting for parents and carers on 15th April 2016 and as part of our continuing consultation we would like to hear your views and have attached an information sheet and a questionnaire for you to complete. Please return your questionnaire to school by noon Friday 22nd April 2016. In addition to this information, the full consultation document is available from the school office or here on our school website and contains:

  • details of what we want to achieve by joining the trust  (also attached to this letter)
  • general information  about  trust status
  • frequently asked questions about Trust status

We are very excited about the possibilities that joining the Outer West Learning Trust can offer our school and children however at this stage no final decision has been taken.  We want to know what parents and carers think about the proposal.  If there are no issues or concerns then statutory consultation will begin early this term with a view to Knop Law becoming a foundation school and formal partner in the Outer West Learning Trust (OWL) by July 2016. Myself and governors are more than happy to answer any questions or queries you have so please do not hesitate to contact us either in the school yard or pop in to school.

Yours sincerely
