School Day
8.20am |
School gates open and children begin to be welcomed into school. Pupils enter school and make their way to their classroom, with school staff welcoming and monitoring the pupils at the school entrances and on the yards. Parents are not able to park on the school site in the mornings but we do operate a drop off system that is supervised by school staff. |

Phonics |
In EYFS and Key Stage 1, pupils have daily phonics sessions. |
Assembly |
Pupils enjoy a range of whole school and class assemblies which include topical affairs, class presentations, celebrations, singing practice and more. |
Lesson 1 |
All pupils have a daily maths lesson, as well as additional times table and problem solving sessions. Mastering Number sessions are also delivered in selected year groups. |
Break |
Pupils enjoy playing on our two large yards, the multi-use games area (MUGA) and other areas of our school grounds. |
Lesson 2 |
All pupils have a daily English lesson, as well as additional spelling, handwriting and reading opportunities. |
Guided Reading |
Pupils have daily sessions with the opportunity to explore fiction and non-fiction texts in detail, as well as an opportunity to read and listen to the teacher model reading. |
Lunchtime |

Staggered sittings from 11.45am – 1.00pm |
Pupils enjoy a school dinner, or packed lunch in the school dinner hall. Then they access our extensive play offer, enhanced with art & craft opportunities. Pupils are encouraged to bring waterproof clothing and wellies, so they can explore our school field, sandpit, allotment area, and mud kitchens.
Pupils can be invited to optional clubs such as choir, Lego club and master classes. |
Afternoon Sessions |

Lessons 3 &4 |
During afternoon lessons children enjoy a variety of foundation subjects, and science. |
2.55pm |
End of the school day in EYFS. Children are to be collected by an adult at their collection point on the main school yard. |
3.00pm |
End of the school for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Children in years 3 & 4 are to be collected by an adult from their collection point on the main school yard. Parents of children in years 5 & 6 have the option of collecting their child from the school yard or to give written permission for their child to walk home on their own from the school gates. |
3.00pm – 4.00pm |
Various after school clubs are available. |
